What is Yoga?

Hatha Yoga is a practice using Yoga postures, breathing techniques and relaxation to help you stretch, unwind and release mental and physical tension. It helps overcome stress and strengthens and rebalances the body, mind and spirit. Private Yoga instruction allows the student a greater understanding of how their body should move. There are endless rewards to be gained from a regular Yoga practice not least of all bringing some much needed balance to busy lives.

A typical Yoga class will consist of breathing exercises, a variety of postures (asanas), and relaxation. Meditation practice and mindfulness techniques can be included. I will fully explain and demonstrate all the practices and am there to guide and assist you. You may wish to combine your Yoga lesson with a Reiki treatment which is an excellent way to consolidate and further enhance the benefits of your Yoga practice.
